The Original C-U Handmade Gourmet Donuts since 1956. Champaign-Urbana was once home to three Ye Olde Donut Shops. Erma and Charles Woollen started the family business in 1956. In 1977, Erma’s sister and brother-in-law, Sandy and Mike Pyle, took over the business. Many years later, Mike sold to his long time cook Jose Rodriguez, who after many years, in turn sold to the current owner Eric Seeds. Jose stayed with the company and continues to make donuts the same way to this day.
