At Ye Olde Donut Shoppe, we keep it classic. Our ownership has changed over the years, but our recipe hasn’t, which means that our donuts are just as delicious today as they were when we were founded.
The family business was started by Erma and Charles Woollen in 1956. Years later, the Woollens sold to their in-laws, Sandy and Mike Pyle. Then, long-time cook Jose Rodriguez took over, who later sold to Eric Seeds, our current owner. Jose is still with us today, continuing to bake our donuts the way that Mike taught him to in the 1990s.
At Ye Olde, our donuts are gourmet, hand crafted, and made only from high quality ingredients, like real fudge and maple concentrate. Plus, we make our icing in a floor mixer, just like our founders did almost 70 years ago.
From food trucks to coffeeshops to co-ops, you can find our donuts in commercial and wholesale settings all around Champaign-Urbana. Today, we happily serve the public at our Neil St. storefront.
